The Czech Constitutional Court having analysed the Lisbon Treaty after a request by group of Czech Senators concerned about a loss of sovereignty has given the Lisbon Treaty a seal of approval.

Having also been granted an opt-out from the Charter of Fundamental Rights in the Lisbon Treaty, it is expected that the euro-skeptic Czech President Václav Klaus will sign the Lisbon Treaty given that he won his opt-out and that the last barrier has been removed now that the constitution court have approved the treaty.

It is now hope that the Lisbon Treaty can be put in place as soon as possible, and before Christmas.

It's about time.

Now we can finally get down to figuring out how to actually implement the Lisbon Treaty.

I just hope Klaus doesn't have any more cards up his sleeve.
